Kit Natland heads Bremer Whyte Brown & O'Meara's estate planning practice, including evaluation and drafting of wills, trusts, advance healthcare directives, powers of attorney and associated documents. Mr. Natland also handles probate matters and litigation concerning trusts and estates, as well as conservatorships and guardianships. In addition, Mr. Natland has extensive experience in general civil and business litigation, as well as construction law and homeowners' association law.
Having attended the University of California Irvine, Cornell and the UCLA School of Law, Mr. Natland obtained numerous awards and accolades including Phi Beta Kappa, Pi Sigma Alpha, the Order of Merit and Cum Laude, as well as departmental and campus wide honors. He applies this intellectual rigor towards accomplishing his client's goals, tempered with a "real world" and pragmatic hands-on approach to problem solving. He also currently enjoys teaching as an Adjunct Professor at Chapman University School of Law.
Born in Newport Beach, California, Mr. Natland has traveled extensively throughout Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas, including attending the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, and the University of Innsbruck, Austria. Mr. Natland is admitted to practice in all state courts in California, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. Mr. Natland participates in the Orange County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the UCLA and UCI Alumni Associations, in addition to local business and charitable causes such as the Surf Industry Manufacturers Association, the Anti-Defamation League, the Public Law Center and Surfrider Foundation.
