John R. Cayangyang is an associate at the Newport Beach office of Bremer Whyte Brown & O'Meara LLP, practicing primarily in the areas of general civil litigation and construction defect law. Prior to joining Bremer Whyte, Mr. Cayangyang was an associate with at a civil litigation firm in Orange County primarily handling civil litigation, business law, complex civil, personal injury, unfair business practice and product liability matters.
Although born in Kingsville, Texas, Mr. Cayangyang spent a majority of his life in Jacksonville, Florida. He obtained his B.A. in International Affairs from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida.
Mr. Cayangyang obtained his Juris Doctorate from Whittier School of Law in Costa Mesa, California. While in law school, Mr. Cayangyang was the Moot Court Honors Board International Justice & Intellectual Property Law Justice, Law Review Symposia Editor, President of the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association, and Vice-President of the International Law Society. Moreover, Mr. Cayangyang earned the CALI Award in Moot Court in 2004; and in 2005 the Dean’s Citation Award and the Center for International and Comparative Law Service Award.
Mr. Cayangyang is admitted to practice law before all Courts of the State of California, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States District Court, Central District of California.
